Welcome to Liberti Church - Mechanicsburg!

Join our church in the work of Gospel renewal and saturation in the Borough of Mechanicsburg.

We long to see Gospel renewal in the lives and community of Downtown Mechanicsburg for the glory of God.

  • Growing Community
Cumberland County has over 277,000 residents and continues to grow, particularly in Mechanicsburg, where new housing developments are attracting more families. The Muslim population is also growing, with Rakwa identifying Mechanicsburg as a top regional destination for Muslim families.

    Gospel Presence
Despite having vibrant churches nearby, downtown Mechanicsburg lacks an accessible, vibrant, evangelical, and historically orthodox Protestant church to serve its 10,000+ residents. Higher poverty rates and limited access to transportation make attending churches outside the borough difficult. While some Christians travel up to 30 minutes to find a church that fits their preferences, non-Christians are less likely to do so. Liberti Church longs to establish a gospel-centered church in the heart of Mechanicsburg, making the gospel accessible to the community.

  • Matthew 28:18–20 calls believers to make disciples of all nations through baptism and teaching them to obey Jesus’ commands.

Church planting is a primary means of fulfilling the Great Commission, as the local church provides a community where disciples are baptized, taught, and nurtured in faith. As Timothy Keller emphasized, continually planting new congregations is crucial for the growth of the Church and the renewal of existing churches. Studies also suggest that new churches reach 6–8 times more unchurched people than established churches of similar size.
